A festive chat with Robyn Neeley

What do you love about Christmas?
I love absolutely everything about Christmas - the decorations, spending time with family, the silly traditiosn, the amazing cookies I get to eat ... I mean bake for the entire month of December. It's my absolute favorite time of year.

What's your favourite book for this time of year?
I read a lot of romances all year round, but beginning November 1st this year I decided to read only holiday romances. I'm sharing my favorites on my blog through the holidays. There are so many good ones out there ... I might be a little bias in the number one holiday romance I would recommend!:)

Can you tell us about your new Christmas book?

I love this book! On the surface it's a super cute holiday romance with two tropes: enemies to lovers and take a fake boyfriend home for the holidays. When you go a little deeper, you see it really has elements of hope and faith. I tell my readers, read the prologue carefully and don't forget it. It comes back in the story in a major, and I hope satisfying, way for the reader.

Why did you decide to write about Christmas?

I love this time of year and all the magic it brings. I couldn't think of a better time or setting for this book.

What's your favourite Christmas movie?
So many to chose from. Anything on ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas makes me smile. For some reason I feel the need to watch Holiday in Handcuffs over and over and over.

What's your favourite Christmas song?
Hands down Baby, It's Cold Outside.

What's your typical Christmas day?
Sending the day with my family in my small hometown in upstate New York. There's no place I'd rather be.

Speed Round...
Favourite Christmas tipple?
I will never turn down warm egg nog with Bailey's.
Holly or mistletoe? Mistletoe ... with a cute guy underneath. Bradley Cooper ... if you're available ...
Snow or sunny? Definitely snowy
Savvy shopper or last minute huntress? Savvy shopper, but my dad and I still go out every Christmas Eve to finish shopping. It's our tradition. I do refuse to stand in crazy lines at 4 a.m. after Thankgiving. That just doesn't sound fun to me.
Christmas style: Bridget Jones or Audrey Hepburn? Bridget Jones, ugly sweater and drink in hand!

Robyn Neeley is an East Coaster who loves to explore new places; watches way more reality TV than she cares to admit; can’t live without Dunkin Donuts coffee and has never met a cookie she didn’t like. If you have a must read romance suggestion or a fabulous cookie recipe, she wants to know.
