Tell me, what do you love about Christmas?
The smell of a fir tree, the twinkle of fairy lights, the crunch of snow under my feet, freezing cold air, crackling log fires, happy children, big family gatherings, good food, torn wrapping paper, happy movies, all of it!What's your favourite book for this time of year?
A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens.
Can you tell us about your new Christmas book?
My heroine, Kayla, is a public relations expert and workaholic whose least favorite time of year is Christmas (she’s like Scrooge, but with classier nightwear!). All she wants for the holidays is to escape until it’s over so when a new client, sexy businessman Jackson O’Neil invites her to snowy Vermont to learn more about the resort owned by his family, she thinks this will be the perfect place to hide from the festivities.
But all the marketing experience in the world doesn’t prepare Kayla for Vermont, getting up close and personal with Jackson and spending time with the big, loving O’Neil family. This book is a love story, but it’s
also about questioning life decisions and taking chances!
Why did you decide to write about Christmas?
I’ve written books set around Christmas before, both for Harlequin Presents and Medical Romance and they’re always really popular with readers so when it came to writing my first full length contemporary it
seemed like an obvious choice. I decided to have a heroine who finds this type of year difficult, as many people do. Giving her a happy ending was very satisfying!
If your book was made into a film, who would you cast?

Diane Kruger as Kayla and Henry Cavill as Jackson (but he’d have to wear blue contact lenses)
What's your favourite Christmas movie?
Love Actually, The Holiday, While you were Sleeping (sorry, I can’t pick one!).
What's your favourite Christmas song?
The Shepherds Farewell, by Berlioz, sung by Kings College Choir, Cambridge. I love hearing children sing.
What's your typical Christmas day?
Spending time with family, playing games, eating too much followed by a long winter walk.
Speed Round...
Favourite Christmas tipple? Champagne
Holly or mistletoe? Holly.
Snow or sunny? Snow and sunshine! I want it all
Savvy shopper or last minute huntress? Ideally the first, but usually the second.
Christmas style: Bridget Jones or Audrey Hepburn? Ideally Audrey (so elegant), invariably Bridget
