Hi Blakely! It's fabulous to have you here today. Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
Bittersweet Deceit (erotic romance) is the second book in the Bound by Your Love Series, which centers on the love lives of a group of close friends. In this installment, we follow Lainie, the protagonist entangled in an affair with the married man Mason. Stayman, who is part of her group of friends, has been interested in Lainie for a while, but once he finds out who stands in his way, he pursues her with charm and persistence. The connection between Lainie and Stayman is undeniable; however, Mason has Lainie’s heart. Read to find out how it all resolves.
What inspired you to write it?
Love, flawed personalities, very hot, steamy sex, and finding true love inspire all of my novels.
How did you come up with the idea for the gorgeous cover?

How did you come up with the idea for the gorgeous cover?
My cover artist, Clarissa Yeo gets credit for that. I told her the story line and she came up with it. I asked her to make the woman more full-figured and she did.
If it was made into a movie, who would you like to play the main characters?

I’d love Laura Prepon (pictured) to play Lainie. My inspiration for Mason was a younger, taller version of Paul Newman. Stayman I based on Paul Walker who has passed away.
What is it about this genre that appeals to you so much?
It’s what I love to read. Fast paced, realistic love stories that you’ve never read before.
What made you want to become an author?
I have a very active imagination and hold the arts in high esteem. I have no skill in drawing or painting and although I can act, I knew I wouldn’t be able to withstand the constant rejection that comes with chasing that dream.
How do you come up with character names?
All sorts of ways. Sometimes they show up with the story. Other times I look for names online. In the case of Lainie, one of my lifelong friends is named Lainie. I have always loved her name.
Name one of your all-time favourite books?
Replay by Ken Grimwood.
Who, or what, inspires you?
Love inspires me the most. Next would be music, reading, movies, dreams, and my wonderful, loving husband.
Where is your favourite place to write?
At our cabin where there are no distractions. My husband and I take breaks and share our work. It’s great!
What is your favourite movie that was based on a book?
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Name two of your favourite authors.
Stephen King, for his body of work, work ethic, and his philosophy on writing.
Lisa Kleypas for great romance. Historical and non. I think I’ve read all of her novels.
If you could have a dinner party with any authors from any time in history, who would you choose and why?
Definitely the gang of #ASMSG authors. They offer so much support and friendship. I no longer feel like I’m going it alone.
Tell us a random fact about yourself.
I LOVE blowing bubbles.
Who would play you in the movie about your life?
I have no idea!
Tell us an interesting fact about where you live.
We live in an intentional community surrounded by forest.
What are your (writing) plans for the future?
I’m currently working on Blue Persuasion, book three in the Bound by Your Love series. I have also begun a steamy romance called The Second First Chance, which I plan to finish after. My husband (Dana Bennett) and I plan to finish Jenna’s Rubicon, which is the second book following The Demarcation of Jack (contemporary romance) in the Fractured Fidelities Trilogy.
After that, I think I’ll take a break from romance and erotic and write in a different genre. I can’t imagine writing a story without some romance in it but maybe not as the main focus. Dana and I have a sci-fi story we’ve wanted to write for years.
Tell us one thing that's on your bucket list.
Tandem skydiving and traveling to Europe.
Favourite myth / fairytale?
My favorite myth would be teleportation. I’m hoping it turns out to be a reality and in my lifetime we are able to teleport objects and then people. Me, pick me!
Who / What did you want to be when you were a kid?
Rockstar or groupy to a rock star, actress, world-class author. I’m working on the latter.

Blakely Bennett grew up in Southeast Florida and has been residing in the great Northwest for over nine years.
