We Stand Against Evil, the final book in The Morgan Sisters

This week I launched my latest book, it's the final book in The Morgan Sisters series - one which my readers have been eagerly awaiting for over a year now. It's called We Stand Against Evil
In case you are curious, The Morgan Sisters is a five-book YA (young adult) series set around London, about two sisters who discover they're actually very different from regular people, in fact they have very special powers. They are invited to join the Praxos Academy where they learn how to hone their skills and basically fight evil. If you love books like Harry Potter, then this is probably right up your street ;)

We Stand Against Evil small version
This book cover was created by the very talented Emma Michaels, also an author and book cover designer.

We Stand Against Evil

The Morgan sisters must use their unique skills and special powers to locate Eleanor Hayden-Jones before it’s too late. Kidnapped by the cruel and twisted Madge Sophokles, the girls, along with just a few of their Mentors, have little to go on, other than a vague idea that she might be in Canada. Get your copy of We Stand Against Evil now, and find out what happens to the sisters - and Praxos - in this thrilling final book in The Morgan Sisters series.

The Morgan Sisters

Books 1-4 of The Morgan Sisters

THE GHOST OF JOSIAH GRIMSHAW
Adopted sisters Lana Beth and Emma Jane are polar opposites, but when the same strange 'tattoo' suddenly appears and winds its way up their bodies within days of each other, they soon realize there's more to their relationship than they could ever have imagined.
Sent off to London for two weeks of 'work experience', the Morgan Sisters soon find themselves being initiated into the ancient Praxos Foundation, one that protects the innocent while fighting evil, both human and supernatural.
At the same time, Lana Beth and Emma Jane must also investigate why the sweet but sometimes pesky ghost of Josiah Grimshaw just won't leave them alone.

DAISY MADIGAN'S PARADISE
When tragedy falls upon 15 year old Daisy Madigan, she escapes to the only place she feels safe, the cemetery of Abney Park. There, in the company of the dearly departed, she realizes she is changing, growing stronger and faster by the day. But in the darkness lurks a terror even she can't imagine facing.

THE TEMPORAL STONE
It's been a couple of months since Emma and Lana entered the Praxos Academy and life has been hectic ever since. What with regular A level classes combined with learning all about the supernatural world, control classes, self defence and fight night, the girls are constantly busy.
But when their world seems to stop right in front of them, they and their fellow Watchers, have a huge mystery to solve. A mystery which will lead them on a long road trip across south west England where they will meet all kinds of strange creatures, some intent on causing harm and others desperate to put a stop to the problem.

LOOKING FOR LUCY JO
It's their first Christmas since entering the Praxos Academy and 16-year-old sisters Lana Beth and Emma Jane Morgan are looking forward to some serious R&R. But when their little sister mysteriously disappears from her bed on Christmas Eve, all thoughts of fun disappear with her. Emma and Lana must do everything in their power to locate her and bring her home safely. Easier said than done, they are forced to go on yet another journey, this time taking them out to the murky depths of the North Sea as well as to the far reaches of southern Portugal.

˃˃˃ "I would go so far as to say that this could be the beginnings of a series as good as those by J.K. Rowling!"
˃˃˃ "I loved the bad guys, the graveyard antics, the talking dead, the superpowers of the kick-a** ninja chicks, and the rite of initiation the sisters go through"

The Raven Saga

Books 1-3 of The Raven Saga

Her whole life had been based on a lie. Lilly had grown up in a loveless home with a father who she had barely ever seen and a mother who was... well, not very motherly.
After they mysteriously disappear without a trace, Lilly is sent to Canada where she finds a whole new way of life. A life filled with love and people who care for her. But that's not all she discovers, Lilly also finds out that she isn't who, or what, she thinks she is.
Lilly has a very special ability and it's just a matter of time before her true self starts to shine. And when it does, her life will never be the same again.
Raven is a fantasy novel for children and young adults set in the beautiful province of British Columbia.

DECEMBER MOON
On her 15th birthday, December Moon discovers she is the descendant of a family of witches, kept in the dark her entire life in an effort to protect her. But when Lilly, her best friend, finds herself in danger from one of the world's most evil vampires, December will do everything in her power to stop him. December Moon is a fantasy novel for children and young adults set in BC, Canada.

THE LOST SOUL
December and Lilly have got their work cut out for them. Not only are they desperately trying to figure out the identity of the Lost Soul, and track him down, they've also got to investigate why Powell River's newest resident has got all of their men falling at her feet.
But when they learn that the Nephilim might be involved, it becomes clear that they're all in extreme danger...

And Then There Was You

This story took me by complete surprise this summer. I'd had no plans to write such a book. The idea just came and stayed with me for about a week and it just wouldn't let me go so I started writing in my little summer house. And I was like a writing monster for a week. Yes, that's all it took to write this novel (well, the first draft anyway). Less than seven days.
Well, here it is...

Three years ago, Eve Brooke had the most passionate, memorable night of her life. Unfortunately, it was with a man who wasn't her husband.
Can infidelity be forgotten? Not when her one night stand moves in next door, it can’t.
Eve has a pretty good life. She’s married to Matt, her childhood sweetheart, has an interesting career and lives in a nice house in the suburbs. If life is so perfect why did Eve sleep with a complete stranger during a trip to London? And why, three years later did he have to move in next door with his beautiful wife? As the attraction between them flares up again, Eve begins to question her marriage and wonders if it is fate or coincidence that has brought them back together…

T is for Temporal Stone #AtoZChallenge

So here I go again, blowing my own trumpet and talking about my own books but hey ho... why not? Someone might be interested ;)
Anyway, The Temporal Stone is the second full-length book in The Morgan Sisters series. It was kind of an unusual one to write because I delved a bit further into urban fantasy, producing pixies out of the ground, for example, to make the story come alive. It follows Emma Jane and Lana Beth Morgan, sisters who who just happen to be half angels (commonly known as Watchers in their world) as they delve further into Academy life fighting evil which comes in the form of Skulls. If you're into YA urban fantasy, you'll enjoy it...

The Eye of Praxos, the movie

Hi peeps! How's everyone doing on this fine November morning? Me? Well I'm pretty excited about my latest project... I'm making a short movie! And, it's based on my YA series, The Morgan Sisters! Cool huh?
It all started a couple of years ago when I was working behind the scenes of a Brit flick called The Right Juice, where I met some of the most amazing and talented people. We became firm friends and they said at the time, 'we should make a trailer for one of your books'. We thought little of it again until Pedro, a musician / composer / actor suggested we get cracking on it. Sammy Sheehan, the incredibly talented make-up artist (she's worked on a number of movies and won awards) was also on board.
By this time, Pedro had come up with the idea of actually making a short movie instead. So I set to work writing a script - something I'd never done before, although it was my dream to have a go (you know all those Academy Award dreams? Yeah well I've had them for years... he he he!). Anyway, I decided to concentrate on Daisy Madigan's Paradise (a free novella in the series) because it was already quite short and I figured it could easily be re-written to fit a short film. Easier said than done, of course!
After a few weeks, my first draft was done. I worked with Pedro and Sammy to perfect it as much as possible until it was ready.
In the meantime, Pedro had been working on a number of music videos, adverts, etc so had garnered some much needed experience. We put out some feelers and were amazed by the response. So many volunteers came forward to offer their help in the project. We now had the majority of the cast sorted out (and it is awesome!) and most of the locations! Talk about exciting.
And then something really cool happened... my oldest best friend, Emma Rossi, got in touch and asked if I'd like her to come out and lend a hand. But not just to help out here and there, but to help with the music! You see, Emma is a musician and a totally awesome one at that. My best description of her voice is 'horny angel'!! lol. So she hopped on a plane from England (I live in Portugal) and flew over. We've been busy working on the film and the music since.
As it stands, we have our first shoot on Sunday and I can't wait! Our little movie, The Eye of Praxos, is going to be amazing.
I'd love it if you could show your support by liking our Facebook Page...  https://www.facebook.com/PraxosMovie
You can also keep up to date via my website http://www.suzyturner.com/short-film.html

I'd like to thank:
Pedro and his team, Emma and Sammy
The amazing actors and actresses
Phil Francis for his time spent drawing the Praxos Eye!
All the volunteers for giving us their time.
Cindy and Paul for offering up their garden for some of the scenes. Check out their amazing holiday villa: http://www.algarvehomes.org/
The Hospital Particular do Algarve for allowing us to shoot an important scene there.
The owner of Quinta das Quatro Abelhas for giving us his awesome garden for some of the creepier scenes.
Everybody else who has helped out in some way with the movie.
You are ALL awesome!!
